At first, Thank you for this nice script. Even though I had no problem using it on the mac, though In your latest version 1.7.0 I couldn't make the aditor fire after I created the dome. The script editor spited out a the message. "Too many children in layout."
my setup is: Mac osx 10.4.11

Very nice script. Gives a nice overall lighting. Only problems so far include, shadows when switched on for both Sun and Sky make scene far too heavy. Using at work on a XP x64 machine with 8GB and dual Xeon still has trouble loading script, have to run it twice, once to create the lights, and once more to bring up the shelf to edit the lights. Have been using it on photorealistic cars and so far, it works quite well. Will use it for personal animation and see how well it does with that.

Thank you for this script. I just ran it in Maya 2009 and it saved me a lot of time laying out my light. I got no errors.

@ Rara Levine - Don't put it in the first "scripts" folder. Instead, use this path

My Documents / maya / 2010-X64 / scripts /

Or if you're not using the 64-bit, select the 32 bit.

Make sure that in your scripts folder you have the folder "seths" and in that folder "illuminati", then you won't get the error message.

i´m new in using maya-scripts and i like to know, if i got the right opening-procedure:
- i unzip the download
- i copy the "illuminati_v2.1" folder into "My Documents / maya / 2010-X64 / scripts /"

is this correct?

and now my last question:
what have i to type into the "MEL-script-CommandLine"?

thanx a lot for an answer!

Thanks Seth!

Works fantastically well. I'm on Maya 2015.

I did have to copy the illuminati.mel script into the root scripts directory for some reason, although technically shouldn't need to do that.
