I found it difficult to use. I used the Camera Calibrator in Cinema 4D and was very impressed with that tool. I was hoping that there might be a similar add-on for Maya since Maya is my primary 3D tool. This is a very close approximation, but it appears not to work right (or I am not using it correctly).

I'm not sure what the developer means by "when special locator positioned in zero - you on right way". I can see the "special locator", but I have no idea what the developer means by "zero". Is it a special location in space? If so, then how do I know where zero is since there are no grids or reference for that measurement.

The four times I tried it (both on images of basic room interiors and also on square products like iPhones), the camera was VERY poorly aligned. I must be doing something wrong, but I have no idea what it is.

EDIT: Now that I inspect the video further, I see that the developer wants the user to line up the 2 points in the center of the image. But I am not seeing those 2 points in my image, so I'm confused as to how I would go about achieving this.

Maya really needs a tool like this, and one which 3DS Max at least appears to have. Unfortunately, I'm unable to do anything useful with this. I'm on Maya 2015, which is not explicitly supported, although the plugin appears to function within this version, or at least loads and brings up the UI. However, the bigger problem is simply a lack of clear instruction and documentation on how to use it. The Vimeo video has no sound, which is really unhelpful. Obviously, the basic idea is triangulation derived from moving points around to match angles within the image. But that's pretty much all that it's possible to tell from the video. Some more in depth explanation as to exactly how to use this tool would be appreciated.

it's working now on Maya 2017, awesome plugin, used quite some time ago, since this plugin doesn't work the conventional way (matching lines to axis in any order) would be nice if we could choose between lines or a box (and its vertices) to match the photo...
