Biography

“Michael O'Connell is a 30 year veteran CGI Producer/Director.He began in 1977 as a DESIGN DIRECTOR at Diamond & Diaferia, in New York City where he designed and produced animated television show openings. In 1979 he became a computer animation artist at ABC-TV, in New York. where he ANIMATED on air graphics and won an Emmy award for the 1984 ABC OLYMPIC GAMES animations. In 1984 he moved to Los Angeles and became ANIMATION DIRECTOR for the McDonnell Douglas Aerospace “STAR WARS” missile defense program, engineered to target UFO's as well as Soviet satellites. In 1995 he became PRODUCER/DIRECTOR of the Underground UFO video hit “Gemini Encounters”. In 1997 he became a lead CHARACTER & EFFECTS ANIMATOR for “Casper, The Beginning”, produced by Saban Entertainment. Afterward, he worked on script development projects for a number of Hollywood producers. In 2008, he COMPLETED PRODUCTION of the DVD release, “Children of the X-Files”, which won the International UFO Congress Film Festival EBE award for best Special Effects and the New York Film and Television Festival Silver award.”
