The best teaser award in the first Iranian Teasers and Commercials Festival, Jan 2001 The teaser was about SANAM’s TV productions. It was about two swordsmen who were fighting in the TV, ones hat accidentally comes out of the TV screen and the swordsman needs to bring it back without having the TV watcher’s attention. I have worked in this teaser as visual effect director, compositor and also acting as one of those swordsmen. SOFTWARE & HARDWARE PROJECTS: Automatic EBU Material Recorder Designing and implementing a new system for news channels that need to monitor EUROVISION channel and record the required materials from EBU on tapes and use it in their pieces. By the help of this system including its hardware and software which has been designed by me, monitoring this channel has been done by an Artificial Intelligent Agent (Image processor) instead of using manpower and due to its digital recording workflow, the use of magnetic tapes and capturing process has been eliminated. Also this system is much cheaper than the ready products by TANDBERG which is not automatic and is just a receiver. The prototype system has been tested and fully used in ZDF GermanTV Tehran Bureau. Filmsaz “Movie production governance” Software Designing and implementing new Iranian software for cinema. It is the best assistant for Iranian producers, production managers and production designers in film productions. There were only two common way for extracting data from a screenplay and analyzing it. First, reentering the screenplay or at least part of it in a software, which is useless because it has been typed by the writer before and we don’t have to type it again! Second, pushing the writer to use a special package instead of general word processing softwares, which needs to teach them how to write a script in those forms, and usually they don’t like it because of its restrictions. I have designed a third way to import the script from ANY word processing software and just highlighting and colorizing important words and sentences instead of retyping it. By this way, the whole process will be very fast. After highlighting a few scenes, you don’t even have to it all by yourself, there is an automatic colorizer button which will be trained while you are highlighiting your first scenes (Some kind of Artificial Intelligence). Based on my own and my customer’s experiences, for a film screenplay which has about 80 scenes or 120 pages, it takes maximum 3 hours to analyze and print all reports (including printing times!) since receiving the screenplay file. I made the software package to do these tasks . I designed the Database engine to search fast the information fields and a hardware lock to protect the software , attached to the parallel port with the ability to store serial number and user data . The software has been written in ADS (AutoCAD Development System under C) and Assembly language. Upgrading AutoFILER to run in AutoCAD R13/R14 under windows 95. The whole project was redesigned and rewritten with the aid of ARX . The database engine was improved and the multi file viewer module was capable of displaying up to 400 files (DWG, DXF, TGA, BMP, GIF, TXT) simultaneously.
