I tried the mouse at an Apple store here in San Diego. It worked just like you think a mouse would. Right click and left click worked fine, and the scroll thingy was pretty neat to play with.

I use the a tablet about 99% of my time, so I wouldn't go out an buy one. But if it shipped with a new Mac a bought, I don't think I'd be as fast to chuck it in a drawer like I've done with previous Apple mice.

But to respond on topic... HOLY COW! $17,000 to max it out. But man would that be a sweet system. 16 GB of Ram... that's a Zbrush dream come true IMO!

For the Mighty Mouse, i tried it, the only "problem", is the fact that if you click on the right button, your left finger Mustn't be on the mouse. You have to raise it.

I'm a little confused.. What happened to the whole Intel/Mac line? Thought they were done with the PowerPC....

Really happy to see you can use a decent video card now!

The Intel/Mac line is due in about year or so.

You'll probably see something like an iBook or a mac mini sporting an intel before the powermac.

As for the mighty mouse; I didn't find myself having to do any of that. It just seemed to work as expected.

Actually it's 2006 (either Q3 or Q4) that they'll start using Intel architecture though they hope to transition all their customers over by 2007.
