Hello :)

Forester is Maya MEL Script i made that will give you the possibility to generate a large amount of objects on a surface. It can be useful to make forests, rocks, garbage stuff and other things like that. I don't know if you ever tried to place each tree of a wood manually but i assure you, it can take a veryyyyy long time! I hope this script will help you.

It also has a feature to orient the objects by using the vertex normal direction that allow you to make special objects (like spikes on a ball or if you want to detail a spaceship hull...).

Installation: you can source the script by using the source command or just by placing it into your script directory (you'll need to restart maya). Then you just have to execute "Forester" in your command line. It works on every maya version since the 2011, and probably before (but i didn't test it).
