Biography

“I completed my BA (HONS) Animation degree in May 2009 and was awarded a 2: 1 from Wolverhampton University. During the three year period my attitudes and beliefs have led me to want to work within the Computer Games & Animation industry and to become a producer one day. There are a number of reasons why I want to be a producer one of those elements is to contribute towards a career that is of value to society. It is an important factor that I have realized during my experience, I would like to be involved in something of benefit to the public. It is a passion of mine that I am trying to pursue as it’s the only job I see as a challenging, rewarding and enjoyable career. I see the animation degree as a stepping stone towards further learning hence my application for the computer games & animation industry. The majority of work I have done is within the Animation department during my degree course and work experience, but I am eager to add to that, with more of an in depth knowledge of the additional vital systems such as character animation, Texturing and Life Drawing. I feel I am now at the right age, and have the fundamental skills necessary to go into the computer games & animation industry. I believe I am determined enough to deal with the workload during deadlines; previous degree experience, further work experience placement with West Midlands Graduate Scheme alongside continual production of projects at home. This has given me firsthand experience of time management, organization, prioritizing and commitment needed within industry. I feel that I put forward the professional qualities of both being artist, as indeed if I was accepted on the junior position and started from there it would be a lift. I like to pride myself on my visual skills, and I like to feel comfortable in my presence so that a produce and create characters to films. The junior position will contribute to the knowledge I have now and hopefully enable me to be able to use my skills in a wider range of ways. ”
