This is a wonderful "does the job" script which you'll use more often than you realize.

One of those things that instantly deserves a short-cut key;
The separating of faces the long winded way has always annoyed me.

I have written a cleaner version of this tool.. it is less than half the lines of code and is less specific on object selection.. Good tool though.. Maya really should have the tool setup this way..
