jcFeather V1.0:
Install:
1. click .msi file to install jcFeather;
2. if successful, the system envrionment variables MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH and
MAYA_SCRIPT_PATH will have the plugin and scripts directory;
3. load jcFeather.mll, then you will get JCFeather menu in maya.
Introduction:
jcFeather is a maya plugin to make real feather. Several tools are designed to make
feather making more easily and rendering better. Currently it's only fully intergrated
with 3delight. You can also export feather rib files and read files into prman to render
it.
Version 1.0 features:
1. create single feather based on nurbs surfaces or mesh vertices.
2. create feather system based on a key feather to make a feather coat.
3. export feather to RiCurves rib files for later rendering with a special hair shader(for renderman or 3delight).
4. fully integrated with 3delight.
5. convert feather to mesh.
Free version limitations:
Free version 1.0 has everything except feature 3 and 4. This is a free version for maya2011X64.
