I wanted to do this for a while. Being a die-hard star wars fan, i think the thought of a blade made of light and cutting through anything
is super cool. I tried to get the glow as close as possible to the movie type realism. I parented the blade and controller to the hilt so wherever you move the handle both will follow it. And there's a simple control slider for the blade coming in and out. You can also change the blade to any color you want by going in hypershade, duplicating the shader, and changing the ambient color. I have found you get better results if the color you use is darker in hue. Hope everyone enjoys!!!!!!! HAPPY ANIMATING!!!
