Here is the script to make Low polygon modeling from high polygon by Deleting loops and Collapsing Rings. You can directly select Loop, Ring, Alternate2 Loop and Ring, Alternate3 Loop and Ring, Alternate4 Loop and Ring, Alternate5 Loop and Ring selection commands are there in the script. All commands are available directly into Maya. I just pulled them out into my own little window.
