I also want to learn Softimage XSI beside Maya. Since Maya has been bought by Autodesk, there might be certain transformation in Maya that I might not like to use it again.

Last days, I spent my time figuring out XSI interface and its tools. There are many differences from Maya, especially for me,one of which its transform, rotate and scaling tools. Can any of you tell me which shortcuts on keyboards are for them.

my advise is :
-Take 1 week or 2 to read the manual and do the tutorials
-Learn the default xsi shortcuts (not the qwerty maya friendly equivalents)
- The hardest think to learn in xsi -com
