Hey there,

I'm new to using Maya 2012, and I seem to be having difficulty loading plug-ins.  I'm running Windows Vista Premium SP2, and  I've read online about having DirectX 9.0c installed to prevent "unable to dynamically load" errors.  So I scavenged around on the internet and installed directx 9.0c... though there are several different distributions now... perhaps I haven't installed the correct one?  The plug-ins I'm having trouble with are MultiTool and UnWrella... 2 plug-ins that state they are compatible with Maya 2012.  Is it possible that something is missing from my computer that I need to install? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Joojaa, I'll give that a try. Here is what the console reads when i try to load Multitool:

// Error: Unable to dynamically load : C:/Program Files/ticket01/MultiTool/2012/plug-ins/MultiTool.mll

Okay, so hooked up maya.exe to dependency walker, added any missing .dll files to system32... so it doesn't seem to be a missing dll problem... here is the log from dependency walker regarding loading those plugins...

LoadLibraryA("C:/Program Files/ticket01/MultiTool/2012/plug-ins/MultiTool.mll") called from "c:\program files\autodesk\maya2012\bin\FOUNDATION.DLL" at address 0x002A574A.

I'm having the same problem with MultiTool under Maya 2012 64bit Windows7 SP1, Maya 2012 32bit Windows 7 HotFix4 and Maya 2012 32bit Windows XP HotFix4.
The MultiTool plugin works under Maya 2009 on one of the above systems, so it looks like to be a specific problem of the 2012 version.. :(
