Crawling Text Along A Path

hello. i am a motion beginner, and i am trying to make text crawl along a path.
i can get an indivial shape or alphabet to crawl along the path, but when i try an entire sentence, it doesnt work. it just moves as a staight line anchored at the path on one point, not crawling ALONG the path, like a train on the railway track.

can anyone help me? in fact I want to try this in combustion as well.
