I was wondering if anyone knew where I could see some test renders using Maya's Mental Ray, and if anyone with experience could comment on rendertimes as compared to XSI's MR. I am glad that we finally have a long overdue option to use real GI, but I am disappointed to say the least that it doesnt support Sub d's? I always wondered why people would bitch about Alias dragging their heels and all of that, but with the improvements that still need to be made with Sub D modelling (Texturing) and now this SEMI-useful mental ray renderer. Im not happy.
Matt Lind: We've never really seen eye to eye, but I have to admit, your predictions were right.
