Hi there,

i have major problems with viewing dpx files (4:2:2 10 Bi YUV, 720p/50, encoded by DVS Clipster) in final cut pro.
i use glue tools cineon/dpx quicktime V. 2.5.11 (licensed).
I can Import files into the project and also view it in the bin.
2 things: the sequence has the double length (4s) to the original (2s) in the timeline.
and what ever i do shows either grey or weird colored lines.
did anyone have a similar problem?
i use fcp v. 6.0.3.
can anyone help me here.

thanks
lara

i'm not quite sure what kind of files those are, but your best bet would probably be to take the files into quicktime and export them with a new codec that final cut likes...most likely the DV/DVCPRO NTSC codec (or PAL if you use PAL).

if not that, i'd say take them into Compressor and save them as the same codec i mentioned above.

other than that I dont know what to tell you, but even though final cut can be a picky bastard at times, he will have the tools to fix the things you want fixed =)
