if you want to change it permanently change the sequence footage frame rate in the preferences pane (under import).
if it's more a one time thing, right click your footage in the project panel, interpret footage, main or hit ctrl + f (cmd + f for mac), there it is under the frame rate. don't forget to change you comp's frame rate to.

i guess this is easy to solve, basically when i render out images from maya everything is set to run at 25 fps, when i load the image sequence into after effects it turns it into a 30fps clip, how do i tell after effects it is infact meant to be 25fps.
