Hey Dustin.

I just had another small suggestion but I think it would be a nice little addition. During the creation process, maybe have an option to enter the characters name so that when the auto layers are created instead of DSN_JointsLayer and DSN_ControlsLayer, it could be (charactername_JointsLayer and charactername_ControlsLayer) Also would it be possible to make a third layer that is charactername_MeshLayer

i know this is a small thing but it would just be one less little hassle to have to rename things and plus the layers gets pretty confusing when you start importing multiple DSN rigs.

Thanks again for all your hard work and open mindedness!

Hey Ryan,

That is something I am actually planning on doing... hopefully sooner rather than later. With naming the characters, that would also apply to all the controls, joints etc. and it would also allow the option to keep the dummy rig and generate more rigs off the dummy proportions, if the user wanted. The other advantage to naming characters is that it is possible to have multiple characters in one scene without referencing or importing.

I am not sure about the mesh layer, for three reasons; first being that if someone is building a character, they probably already have layers. Secondly, some characters may require multiple layers for things like hair, cloth, etc. that the animator may want to turn off until rendering. The third reason, some people may choose just to use the dummy geo if they are only interested in animation. Maybe I will add a check box for an optional mesh layer.

Thanks for the suggestions! Sorry I haven't gotten around to a lot of these things lately, had a lot on the go, but these features are coming, I promise! :)

Hi Ryan, naming has been added, there is no naming for the dummies, just the final rig. The name you enter is at the start of pretty much every node in the rig (eg. ryan_MainC).
